Pat, a janitor with a remarkable knack for creativity, instilled in Ida a sense of resilience and resourcefulness, showing her how to create beauty from the simplest of materials. As Ida ventured into her career in the hotel industry in Chicago during her twenties, she flourished and eventually rose to the pinnacle of success as the CEO of a prestigious hospitality company after 25 years in the hotel business. However, her true passion lay elsewhere, leading her to embark on a new chapter by opening a wellness spa. It was during this transformative period that Ida had the means to shower her beloved mother with gifts she had longed to provide as a single parent raising four children. Frequent visits to Michigan, particularly during the holiday season, became cherished moments for Ida and her mother, as they bonded over decorating the Christmas tree. Pat, with her heart set on a dream of a resplendent peacock-themed tree adorned with shimmering lights and ornaments, found her vision come to life with Ida's support. A visit to the Frankenmuth Christmas store marked a special occasion where they handpicked exquisite peacock decorations, including two magnificent peacock statues with cascading, colorful tails that graced the tree as majestic toppers. Though Pat's journey on earth ended in 2011 due to cancer, her spirit lives on through the enduring legacy of those two peacock tree toppers, now lovingly displayed at the inaugural Evexia Wellness Spa location in Clarkston, MI. While time may have weathered their feathers, these cherished artifacts hold within them the cherished memories of a bond between mother and daughter, serving as the inspiration behind the enchanting peacock theme that adorns all Evexia Wellness Spa locations.
